Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 7, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 7, 2026

BeBetter Software LLC (“BeBetter Software,” “BeBetter SOFT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our company website at bebettersoftware.org (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We built this Site to share as little of your data as possible — your data is sacred to us.

This policy covers our website only. Our mobile apps and products (for example, SinGuard) are governed by their own separate privacy policies and terms, available within each app and on that product’s website (for SinGuard, at singuard.org/privacy). Nothing here describes how our apps handle your data.

1Information we collect

We collect very little. There are two ways information reaches us through this Site:

Information you choose to give us

The Site is primarily informational. If you email us at info@bebettersoftware.org or otherwise contact us, we receive the information you include — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, when you visit, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information in server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, referring pages, and the date and time of access. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not link it to your identity.

2Cookies & analytics

This Site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. bebettersoftware.org is a static website with no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party advertising networks. We cannot identify you across other websites, and we don’t try to.

If we ever add measurement in the future, we will use only a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool — one that does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and is designed not to collect information that personally identifies you — and we will update this policy before turning it on.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because we do not sell your information or use cross-site advertising trackers on this Site, there is nothing here to opt out of — but we honor these signals where they apply.

3How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • respond to your messages and provide customer or business support;
  • understand aggregate, non-identifying Site usage;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical problems; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell your personal information.

4How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the Site — for example, our website host and email provider. They may process information on our behalf solely to provide their services to us, and are bound to protect it.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers. If BeBetter Software is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.
  • With your direction. We share information when you ask us to, or otherwise consent.

The Site may link to other websites and services we don’t control — for example, our product sites, app store listings, or social media profiles. This policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.

6Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and operations. Email correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain our business records, after which it is deleted or archived.

7Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information to us by email.

8Children’s privacy

This Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us at info@bebettersoftware.org and we will delete it.

9Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), other U.S. state privacy laws, Nevada’s privacy statute, and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation. These rights may include the right to:

  • know or access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • obtain a portable copy of your information;
  • opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your information (note: we do not sell or share your information); and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@bebettersoftware.org. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

A note on scope. Because of the very limited information this Site collects, in many cases we may hold little or no personal information about you to access, correct, or delete. We honor verified requests to the fullest extent the information we hold allows.

10International visitors

We are based in the United States and operate the Site from the U.S. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where the GDPR applies, our lawful bases for the limited processing described here are our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site and responding to your inquiries, and, where relevant, your consent and compliance with legal obligations.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
